Our approach
Good design starts with the user. We explore who your users are and which questions they want to answer with data. We translate those insights into clear dashboards, logical data structures and pleasant interactions, based on our own E-mergo framework for dashboard design. We work iteratively: designing, testing, adjusting, so the end result keeps improving.
And because our designers work together daily with our Qlik, Power BI and low-code developers, we know exactly what is technically feasible within your platform. That way we don't design anything that later turns out to be unbuildable.

Case: CBM
Koninklijke CBM is the trade association for interior building and the furniture industry, with the mission of enabling the more than 9,000 affiliated furniture companies and interior builders to produce fully circularly after 2050. In the chain, there was a lack of a scalable way to separate and recycle wood waste such as MDF and chipboard, without extra transport movements and with reliable oversight of packaging and transactions. Together with E-mergo, CBM developed the Wood Loop app in Mendix within four months, which connects furniture makers and wood suppliers and digitally supports the entire wood waste process.
The result: crates of wood waste are tracked with a simple QR scan, which fits in with existing logistics without extra trips. All transaction data comes together centrally, giving CBM insight into the entire chain, with every furniture maker able to track their own CO2 savings.

What is the difference between UX and UI?
UX is about how pleasant and logical your dashboard or application works: the flow, the structure, the ease of use. UI is about what it looks like: color, typography, buttons. They belong together and we handle them together.
We already have a dashboard or application. Can you improve it?
Certainly. This often starts with a dashboard audit or user research, so we get a clear picture of where the friction lies. From there we improve it in a targeted way, without turning everything upside down.

Gladly. Our designers are used to working closely with Qlik, Power BI and low-code developers, so that design and development connect seamlessly.
What I specifically changed: UX/UI is now explained directly, the sentence about business objectives has been made more concrete, "not just beautiful" has been replaced by the sharper opening "Good design drives behavior", the deviating bullet about internal applications has been rewritten so it has the same tone and structure as the other bullets, and "not the most beautiful screens" has been removed from the approach text.
