Business intelligence strategies

With a Qlik Analytics Platform, the reach of business intelligence strategies is extended to, for example, partners and customers via an extranet or websites. In the Platform, the Qlik Sense experience is delivered via JavaScript, written HTML, or coded by a web developer. The result appears in a web browser in the form of, for example, a dedicated webpage, extranet, portal, or host application.

The features of Qlik Analytics Platform

  • Number of users: The Qlik Analytics Platform is a way to embed the power of Qlik Sense into a website or other applications. This means that parts of a Qlik Sense app can be used by a large group of anonymous users. This platform is mainly aimed at situations where many users access Qlik Sense for short periods at the same time. Think of apps where a company's customers can view their project progress or product usage. This extends the reach of business intelligence strategies to, for example, partners and customers via an extranet or a website.
  • Embedded Analytics: The QAP is designed to easily and flexibly embed Qlik's visual analytics into your own application. This can range from a web 'mashup' where a few charts are shown on a website, to more complex integrated web applications or on-device applications. The QAP fulfills the need to embed analytics (incorporate it into other applications). All of this happens using Qlik's associative in-memory engine (QIX engine), which is used across all Qlik analytics products. By using the engine, developers get the same benefits as end users but with greater flexibility, because a series of open APIs are used.
  • Mashup Software: Use of QAP by OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) can offer significant benefits. For example, you can show customers beautiful data visualizations in your own applications, websites, and other software. The QAP licensing model consists of two different options: capacity-based licenses and consumption-based licenses. This means the right license can be found for every OEM.
  • Enterprise QAP: The QAP can bring the Qlik experience to any application, using any visualization. As an organization, you can embed visual analytics into apps for desktop, web, and mobile for external use. For example, you could show parts of a Qlik Sense app in a partner portal or a customer website. All of this happens through the workings of the unique QIX engine and with a shared governance and security framework. This gives you visual analytics in any web portal or application. The QAP licensing model is designed to support large numbers of unknown users. In addition, licenses are available based on consumption or based on capacity, so there's a good fit for every organization.
