Connexxion is the market leader in regional passenger transport and ambulance care in the Netherlands. Connexxion Taxi Services is a division of Connexxion that handles, among other things, transport for schoolchildren who can't travel to school on their own, for example because of a physical or mental disability or because they attend special education. Connexxion provides this school transport in more than sixty municipalities, carrying fifteen thousand students every day.

Fewer man-hours
A reduction in man-hours, because manually compiling (Connexxion) and reviewing (the municipality) Excel reports is no longer necessary.
Everything in one application
Today, both Connexxion's planning department and specifically designated members of the municipality's school transport team work with the QlikView application Leerlingenvervoer Amsterdam. GPS data from the taxis is visualized in real time and can be linked to drivers, complaints, cancellations, false alarms, travel time, punctuality, arrival times and active passengers.
Improved safety, quality and satisfaction
Deviations are immediately visible, so action can be taken quickly, for example when a driver is running late or a vehicle is stationary longer than usual. This improves the safety and quality of school transport and leads to higher customer satisfaction.
Connexxion and the City of Amsterdam make school transport visual and transparent with E-mergo & Qlik
The challenge for Connexxion was to offer the City of Amsterdam transparency through daily, real-time insight into the full operation around school transport. The solution was a QlikView dashboard. With QlikView, data from the taxis' onboard computers and data from Connexxion's central transport system are unlocked, linked and visualized in real time in the QlikView application Leerlingenvervoer Amsterdam. GPS data is linked to punctuality, drivers, complaints, cancellations, false alarms, travel time, arrival times and active passengers.
