The Dutch

The Dutch

The Dutch is a truly special golf course, thanks in part to its many top-tier facilities and service, but above all to its focus on the business golfer. The Championship course is a challenge for every golfer and, alongside the 18-hole course, features a Golf Academy, a clubhouse with various meeting facilities, and an inviting bar and restaurant. The Dutch was founded by and for golfers, built around an entrepreneurial network from the business world. The Dutch has earned a place on the list of European Tour Destinations and hosted the KLM Open from 2016 through 2018, among other events. The course is centrally located in the Netherlands and has more than 800 active members and almost 100 employees.

The Result

More reliable forecasting

Forecasting has become considerably more reliable thanks to the combination of (historical) data in Qlik Sense. This is one of the biggest benefits for The Dutch, since they can now easily access data from the past. They now know exactly what happened over the last 5 years.

360-degree customer view

The commercial team wanted more insight into new and existing members. To provide this, the Members Dashboard was developed, giving a 360-degree view of The Dutch's members. This gives the team much better insight into commercial opportunities.

Savings

Thanks to Qlik Sense, The Dutch now has consistent management reports, with data from various sources automatically combined in Qlik Sense. This has taken The Dutch from a lot of manual work to automated dashboards, allowing it to operate more efficiently going forward.

Insight into data keeps The Dutch on course

With more than 800 active members ranging from private individuals to large multinationals, The Dutch had a steadily growing volume of financial and commercial data. This created a need within the organization to do more with that data. Steven van den Berg, CFO at The Dutch, therefore started looking for a suitable business intelligence tool. Van den Berg: “At previous employers, where I also worked a lot on information provision, I knew it makes sense not to focus purely on an accounting system but also to look at what can be layered on top of it to get a clear picture of your products, services and clients. So from my own experience, I already knew what was possible and what to look out for.”

“We've gone from a lot of manual work to automated dashboards, allowing us to operate more efficiently going forward.”
