Why a Data Warehouse migration or implementation

A data warehouse is a central storage location where data from separate systems, think of your ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), your CRM, and all kinds of other sources, automatically comes together, gets cleaned, and is linked to each other. Instead of each system having its own truth, you work from one source that is correct.

With an implementation, we build a data warehouse while you don't yet have one. With a migration, we move your existing data warehouse to a new, future-proof environment, for example because the current environment is slow, expensive to maintain, hard to expand, or dependent on a single vendor.

Our approach

We work in clear steps, so you always know where you stand:

  • Analysis of your situation and goals. We map out your source systems, your current reporting, and your main questions.
  • Architecture design. We design what the data warehouse will look like and how your sources connect to it.
  • Building and automating. We build the foundation, for example with Azure, Fabric, or TimeXtender, software that largely automates the setup and maintenance.
  • Migrating and validating. We connect your sources, check whether the figures are correct, and make sure the origin of each piece of data is traceable.
  • Handover and management. We actively transfer our knowledge, partly through our Academy, and our support desk is ready to manage things in the background.

Case: Heijmans

Heijmans was running into the limits of its existing environment with its project reporting. Together with E-mergo, the construction company built a central data platform on TimeXtender, on which all sources now come together for reporting in both Qlik and Power BI. The result: new data sources are unlocked automatically, reports load faster, and everyone works with the same validated figures.

De Jong Verpakking worked with a large number of systems, each with its own reporting, and wanted to move back to one reporting tool.
